Following are sample questions and answers you can ask Mark during your interview with him. Each question is followed by a stump of an answer, just so you can plan ahead, and see where that question might take your interview.

Questions are divided between those on Google Adwords and Landing Pages.

Google Adwords Questions

Q: You're a recognized expert on Google Adwords, right? What's the difference between Google Adwords and "Regular" Google?

A: Organic Search vs Paid Search

Q: Are there other Pay Per Click systems?

A: Yahoo, Searchfeed, and several others.

Q: What kinds of businesses can use Pay Per Click

A: Just about every kind.

Q: What are the costs for running an Adwords campaign?

A: As little as a Penny per click.

Q: Can Adwords be used for Local Businesses?

A: Yes

Q: What do you do with the Adwords traffic you get?

A: Best bet. . . send them to a landing page.

Landing Pages Questions

Q: What is a Landing Page?

A: It's a page you send targeted traffic to. Designed to sell or get opt-ins.

Q: Why doesn't a regular web page work as well?

A: Regular web pages have little or no conrol of the user experience, or an ability to create a desired result or action.

Q: What are some characteristics of a Landing Page versus a regular web page?

A: Little or no navigation. Has a single goal, or just two goals. Sometimes short, but usually very long. Good ones use specific techniques to help move the reader to action.

Q: What are some of those specific techniques?

A: Usually only one thing available for purchase. Sometimes, there are upsells or bracketed offers.

Q: Another technique?

A: Almost always has an ability to receive some free or lesser offer. What we call an Opt-In

Q: What's an Opt-In?

A: Offering something, usually free, in exchange for the identity of the prospect.

Q: What do you do with the information?

A: Autoresponders & Broadcasts

Q: Isn't that spam?

A: No. I'll explain. . .

Q: Another technique?

A: Well-written Sales Copy. Think "info-mercial" printed on a website.

Q: Do people really like to read this type of sales copy?

A: "Like" is different than "Do".
